In August 2021, Dorothy M. Davis was invited by the First Vice President of Costa Rica Epsy Campbell Barr to represent CBCI as the keynote speaker in the High Level Opening Session of the first ever global commemoration of UN International Day for People of African Descent co-hosted by UNFPA and UNOHCHR. H.E. Epsy Campbell Barr sits on the Permanent Forum for People of African Descent.
